Life: Natural Room Scents

I love a good smellin’ house, but after trying the plug-ins, candles and wax melts, I was left with an artificial and over powering smell in our home.  Not to mention a $15 candle only last 3 days when I burn it 8 hours at a time. After searching around on Pinterest I finally came across natural room scents, which these buggers make perfect sense. No pun intended.
I now make a large batch of these about once a month, six of each scent. Simply combine all the ingredients in a jar, add water, and freeze. Once you are ready to use, thaw it out and pour it into a Crock Pot. I can get about three days out of one jar, depending on how long I am warming it.

Here are two of my favorite scents. One is light, crisp and clean. The other, warm, inviting and smells like I have been baking all day.

Scent #1
1 sliced lemon

few sprigs of fresh rosemary

1 tsp. vanilla
Scent #2
1 sliced orange

small handful of cloves

few cinnamon sticks
