They say when you see a McQueen in person (at a great price) you have to buy it, right? That was my exact thought when I saw this little gingham number well over a year ago. I went back and forth, and back and forth. The structured shoulder and weird pleating detail on the tush really was throwing me for a loop, but I thought you don’t see a Alexander McQueen dress at the price I purchase this baby at all that often, so I scooped her up!
More than a year later, I pulled it out of the closet, clipped the tags and gave it a go. And um, it’s amazing, yea? The structure shoulder just works and the pleating on the tush makes my bum look a little bit more luscious, and who doesn’t want that?
On a side note, REED by Reed Krakoff for Kohls is now available online. I haven’t decided or not if I want to purchase any pieces yet, but I can tell you the bags look very similar to my Reed Krakoff I purchased from Neiman Marcus a few years ago. I keep trying to talk myself out of the REED RK40 Belted Convertible Satchel in cream colorblock. Maybe I will say it is a business expense. I have to review on for the blog, right?
