Dining Room | Art Work

The dining room has made such progress from the state it was in just over a year ago. Take a look back at that here. Like the breezeway, I have two minor things left; artwork and window treatments. Everything else in the room is squared away (except for chairs and I don’t want to pay full price, so I have been scoping out Craigslist four times a day. No, literally, four times a day).
I decided on purchasing this Threshold rug from Target, due to the fact it was cheap, had the vintage/worn in look, and I knew would be durable. When it arrived, there was no denying the pattern was bold. It wasn’t as subtle as I had hoped, but at this point the pros were out weighing the cons.
Since the pattern was so loud, my idea for artwork kind of was squashed. I am now debating on still playing to that aquatic theme, or maybe a something a little more literal. Ugh, hopefully I get my act together.
