Capsule Wardrobe | Spring 2018 – Week 1

I made it through the first week of my very own capsule wardrobe. It was a little more difficult than I thought, but I brought that on myself. I didn’t account for true weekend wear, which is why you don’t see a Friday look. My explanation below.
Blouse: Mango (exact) | Denim: The Gap (exact) | Shoes: old, Anthropologie (exact) |  Belt: old, Target (similar)
TUESDAY May 1, 2018 – the start of the challenge. I picked, of course, my skinny Gap denim to kick everything off. I love, love, love this denim! They hold their overall shape, so you can wear multiple times between washes, without worrying that you look like you are wearing worn denim.

Blouse: old, Banana Republic (similar) | Sweatshirt: old, Old Navy (similar) | Pants: Target (exact) | Shoes: old, kate spade (exact) | Clutch: old, J.Crew (similar)

WEDNESDAY May 2, 2018 – I threw on these green chinos from Target’s line A New Day. I forgot home much I love them. So comfortable and I am always a sucker for army green. I will take it all, pants, jackets, dresses, and tops.
Jacket: Target (similar) | Top: old, Banana Republic (similar) | Pants: old, Banana Republic (similar) | Shoes: J.Crew (exact) | Scarf: old, Old Navy (similar)

THURSDAY May 3, 2018 – Ah finally, one of my favorite pairs of pants, that I almost never wear. I know! I am crazy! As soon as I seen then in photos, I think they are uber flattering. Unfortunately, Banana Republic doesn’t have this pattern anymore, but you can always puck up this cut of pant, which is one of my favs!

Top: J.Crew (exact) | Denim: The Gap (exact) | Shoes: Anthropologie (exact) | Sunglasses: Tory Burch (exact)

SATURDAY May 5, 2018 – One mistake that I did make when picking out my pieces to create my capsule wardrobe was not choosing enough truly casual pieces, which is why you don’t see a Friday look. I spent Friday in the office for a few hours, with only one other person and then Ryan and I grilled out. In short, I wore my favorite girlfriend denim from The Gap and cotton T. Exciting I know.

Sweater: old, J.Crew (exact) | Pants: Target (exact) | Shoes: Anthropologie (exact) | Belt: old, Old Navy (similar) | Bag, old, kate spade (similar)

SUNDAY May 6, 2018 – Like everyday Sunday, this Sunday was spent running errands, grocery shopping, and making my occasional trip to HomeGoods. I am going to be honest, I was a little nervous after the scramble I made to make Saturday’s outfit, but this little look is casual perfection in my book. The greens and blues of the gingham sweater and the army green of the pants just work together. Plus, when I was running around town, I popped the look with the raspberry lip. It was perfection!
