Picking Artwork

The artwork in the formal living room was another ordeal. When we first put the living room together (see the before photos here), I had Ryan take photos of landmarks in the Twin Cities that had meaning to us. Nothing felt right, until I stumbled across images of the home of Gen Sohr’s (of Pencil & Paper Co.) and I just knew that is what I needed in our home.

I spent months looking for artwork that had the same detail as the images in the photo above, with no such luck. Until, art.com came to the rescue. I found three prints that I am obsessed with: Piranesi View of Rome VI, V, IV.

I think all three great stacked next to our oversized front window. Not to mention the the gold frames look amazing with the green and creams of the curtains.
