Hello 2020 and hello new obsessions.
I really should just be dedicating the January edit to fashion designer Molly Moorkamp, because over the last couple months I have become obsessed with everything that she encompasses. It probably doesn’t help that I also just finished season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (and maybe I am starting from season 1 again, so what) and picking up Mad Men where I left off who knows how long ago.
In short, Molly’s designs are for the modern feminine woman who wants a classic silhouette and details that knock on the door of the late 1950s. Give me high necklines, silk blend pants, and my signature cat-eye. Say hello to my new go to look of 2020.
My other major callout from The Edit are these wonderful Cella leopard slingback pumps from Betsy Johnson. I know. I cannot believe I am saying it either. By now, you know, I love a block heel, as they are so much easier to walk. The little bow on the back is such a great touch. I love the fact that these are a simple fabric that have a slight coating on them. Making them perfect so Minnesota winters and slushy springs. Trust me, I love a good calf hair leopard print as much as the next girl, but the constant worry about how the elements is very wearing!
