Hosting a Small Thanksgiving Dinner

What are you doing for Thanksgiving this year?

We decided to keep our circle extremely small as we go into winter. My dad will be spending Thanksgiving at our house and I’ll prepare the big ole’ dinner, which is very different from our 13+ family gathering we attend each year.

So, what does all of this mean? I needed to come up with the perfect Thanksgiving menu that not only satisfied mine and Ryan’s taste, but also the more, should I say simplified Minnesotan taste of my father.

First on the list was was tackling if I wanted to tackle making a turkey. That was a quick N.O.

We decided that ham would be the best route (and probably most delicious). I mean, can you really ever go wrong with a Hormel Cure81 Ham? I think not.

From there, I found a few more traditional sides, added in an appetizers or two, a couple classic deserts and I got myself a menu.
