There are certain things I love about Minnesota, and yes the weather is one of them. I love the feeling as the air warms in the spring, the snow starts to turn to slush, and you can finally leave your coat open as the air is no longer bitterly cold. When people are happy to see a thirty-five degree day in January, it makes you think we are all a little jaded. Thirty-five degrees? That is only 3 degrees above freezing. If we were all in Florida right now we would be bundled up in our parkas, cashmeres, and wools, but instead us Minnesotans, shed some of our layers and enjoy the balmy day.
