As we were putting together the final concept ideas around our formal living room, I knew a white clean line credenza to sit behind our sofa just to the left of the stairs.
Early on I became obsessed with The CEH is a furniture company based in Dallas, TX that is family owned and operated. They specialize in restoring beautiful antique furniture and creating custom pieces using the highest quality of materials. Right away The Stewart caught my eye. The modern, yet vintage line are gorgeous and would be the perfect addition to my living room. Unfortunately, at $5,000 price tag, it was a little out of our budget.
I started searching the Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace high and low for a credenza that had the same idea as The Stewart. I found this mid-century modern piece that was located just North of the metro. You can see from the photo below the piece was in rough shape. The good thing is that the plan all along is to paint it white, so I can hide many of the imperfections. A part from paint, I am going to look into new hardware and a protective top, so the white won’t scuff quickly.
